    Brown Animal Hospital is a full service primary care veterinary hospital for dogs and cats. Dr. Kimberly Brown and staff keep pace with the ever-advancing field of veterinary medicine by attending frequent continuing education meetings.     Dr. Kimberly Brown, DVM,CAC

    Dr. Brown earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut in 1986, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University in 1990. She graduated valedictorian of her veterinary class.<br />Following graduation, Dr. Brown was an associate for two years in a mixed animal practice in Newville, PA. In 1992, she decided to focus on small animal medicine and surgery and joined a small animal hospital in Hanover, PA. In 2000, Dr. Brown decided it was time to pursue her dream of opening her own practice. Brown Animal Hospital opened in May of 2000 in a small leasehold facility. The practice rapidly grew, and in 2005 she designed and constructed a 3,500 square foot state-of-the-art freestanding veterinary facility.<br />Dr. Brown is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA), and American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (AHVMA). She has special interests in Surgery, Neurology, Animal Chiropractic, and Holistic Medicine. She became interested in Animal Chiropractic when she saw how beneficial it was for her own animals. She is now excited to bring this unique treatment modality to Hanover.<br />In her free time, Dr. Brown enjoys time with her family, riding and training her horses, and reading. She resides in Littlestown on a farm with her husband and daughter and a menagerie of an


    Dr. Elizibeth Valles, D.V.M

    We are pleased to have Dr. Valles join the Brown Animal Hospital team. She lives with her husband and six dogs in Dover. They moved here 10 years ago from Washington where she graduated from vet school in 2003. Initially, Dr. Valles worked full time in emergency medicine for six years. She enjoys medicine and surgery and is definitely a "people person".<br />For 25 years she raised and showed her Jack Russell Terriers and is still active with her club. She judges conformation and go to ground for the JRTCA.<br />Since moving to Pennsylvania, Dr. Valles has competed in AKC and CPE agility with her Jacks and long time German Shorthair partner, Abby...now deceased. Her Lab mix Sammie, and new German Shorthair puppy, Paxton keep her busy. <br />Dr. Valles' greatest joy is always her family and playing with any of her seven grandchildren. She looks forward to meeting many of the Brown Animal Hospital clients and their four-legged children!


    Barbara, Vet Tech

    I have been working as a veterinary technician for 38 years. It has been a very rewarding career. I live in Hanover with my husband Bob and my two dogs, Murphy and Monty.

    I entered the veterinary field in 1999 after completing the Veterinary Assistant course at Carroll Community College in Westminster, Maryland and have been with Brown Animal Hospital since May, 2005. I have always been an animal lover & was so happy to have the opportunity to enter a new field doing what I love.<br /><br />I enjoy interacting with pets & owners in the exam room & like the relationship that develops from the interaction. I take pleasure in knowing that I have had at least a small part in helping an animal.<br /><br />I volunteer with the York County SPCA & love seeing the shelter animals find their forever families!! <br /><br />I live in Glenville with my husband Mike & enjoy gardening, spending time with my family, vacationing at the beach & cruising.


    Natalie, CVT Vet Tech

    Hello, my name is Natalie. I am a 2015 graduate of the YTI Veterinary Technician program and have been working for 3 years as a Certified Veterinary Technician. <br />When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking and crafts & spending time with my 2 dogs; Tantor, a Jack Russell Terrier mix and Paisley, a Westie/Yorkie-Poo mix.<br />I look forward to meeting you and working with your 4-legged kids!!


    Marjorie, Vet Tech

    Marjorie has worked in veterinary practice for 14 years in both emergency and primary care settings. She has a great interest in surgery, dentistry, and client education. Marjorie and her husband Paul share their home with their four Field Spaniels (Dylan, Tucker, Trouble and Declan) and two hamsters (Jackpot and Tada!). Marjorie competes in AKC conformation competition with the dogs and enjoys travelling to dog shows throughout the East Coast. Her household includes three retired Grand Champions and one youngster who has yet to start his show career. <br />Marjorie enjoys playing her cello with a symphony orchestra in Maryland, crafting, volunteering with youth ministry, and heading to the beach with Paul as often as possible.<br />Marjorie enjoys building relationships with our clients and their pets and helping them with all their pet health care needs.


    Debbie, Receptionist

    Debbie has been a veterinary receptionist since 1999 and has been with Brown Animal Hospital since February 2006. Debbie takes great pride in helping to educate our clients on the importance of wellness and prevention for their pets. What Debbie likes most about her job at the front desk is spending time getting to know the clients and their pets. When not working, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs; Oscar and Oakley.


    Shelly, Receptionist

    I am originally from Baltimore, Maryland. For 17 years I worked in a veterinary hospital located in Ellicott City, Maryland. My family and I relocated to Hanover in 2007. For awhile I was a stay-at-home mom, a teacher's aide and now I am returning to the veterinary field. My family includes my husband, 2 daughters and 2 cats. <br />I enjoy cooking and baking. My favorite thing to do is go to the beach. <br />I can't wait to get to know everyone and hear all about your furry family members!
